Why Summer Camp?
There are a multitude of voices competing for the attention of students in our world today. Sometimes it is hard to hear God over all of the other voices. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a place where students could retreat from all of those other voices and just focus on God's? Well, there is such a place, we call it camp. The reason summer camp is such an effective element in the lives of students is because it takes a couple of days to detach from the world, do some soul detox, and be prepared to hear from God. I know personally how God got a hold of me at camp when I was a student and forever changed the direction of my life. Maybe, just maybe, if your student attends camp they too will hear from God and have an encounter with Him that will change the rest of their life.

Camp registration closed on February 27, 2024. If you are still interested in going to camp after that date, it may be possible to get a spot, but there are no guarantees. Contact Jason if you are interested and he will check with Crossings about additional openings.

DATES
Sunday, July 7 - Thursday, July 11, 2024 LOCATION
Jonathan Creek Camp and Conference Center, Hardin, KY Transportation
We have chartered a 56-passenger bus from Huskey Bus Company to take us to camp. We will also take a few personal vehicles in case we need to run any errands while at camp.
We will make a scheduled stop in Paducah, KY for lunch on the way to camp. Students will need to bring money for this. We will not make any stops on the way home. |
DEPOSIT
$75 Must be paid to reserve your spot for camp. Deposit is refundable until February 27, 2024. BALANCE $275 Total camp cost is $350 REFUNDS The deposit can be refunded if you cancel before February 27. If you cancel between February 28 and June 27, you are not obligated to pay anything additional, but you cannot get your deposit back. If you cancel after June 27, when final payment will be sent, you will be obligated to pay the full camp price. FUNDRAISING We will have a couple of fundraisers in the spring and all students who participate will receive a portion to help offset the cost of camp and/or mission trip. Only students who are regular attenders (attend at least one student ministry gathering a month) are eligible for money from fundraisers. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Do not let the cost of camp keep your student from attending, we always have people in the church ask if a student needs help. We will find a way to send your student to camp! |
There will be an information meeting that all students attending camp and their parents are required to attend. We will discuss travel times, schedule, dress code, code of conduct, and cell phone policy. If you or your student cannot attend, you MUST contact Pastor Jason to let him know.
DATE, TIME, & LOCATION Sunday, June 9, Noon in the Multipurpose Room Cell PhonesStudents are not allowed to bring their cell phones to camp. One of the reasons for camp is to disconnect from the world for a few days and that is hard to do with your cell phone in hand.
In addition, cell phone reception at camp is extremely poor. It is usually possible to text but calls are hard if not impossible to make. Pastor Jason and the other adult leaders will have their phones with them so you can get in touch if the need arises. We can have your student check-in with you in the evening if you would like.
