"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Our Student Ministry exists to equip students and families to faithfully follow Jesus and make his name known personally, passionately, and globally for a lifetime

We meet every Sunday morning at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall, almost all Sunday and Wednesday afternoon/evenings through out the year (Sunday afternoons are on break until Jan 10th, Wed groups are on break until Jan 20th).

We encourage each student to commit to 2 main things: SPECKA and the 7/24 Challenge.

S.P.E.C.K.A. is an example of less is more.
S.P.E.C.K.A. (from Ken Sorrell) is simple, easy to use, requires minimum to no preparation time, and on top of all this, it’s easily reproducible. Not everyone will teach, but everyone can lead themself or a group through a Bible study using S.P.E.C.K.A. We grow by asking good, reflective questions through the Holy Spirit's power to ourself and others. Reading God's Word is not about information transfer but about life transformation! Let's not only be hearer of the Word but surrendered doers! (James 1:22)

Read a chapter of God's Word and then go through the questions below (write down your thoughts and reflection)
  • S Is there any SIN to avoid?
  • P Is there any PROMISE to claim?
  • E Is there any good EXAMPLE to follow or bad EXAMPLE to avoid?
  • C Is there any COMMAND to obey?
  • K Is there any KNOWLEDGE to remember? (about God or how He works)
  • A What is the APPLICATION for my life?

7/24 Challenge: For 7 days a week spend at least 24 minutes in God's Word, prayer, and S.P.E.C.K.A. journaling. That is just 1.7% of our day!

Small Groups
Re-Starting Jan 20th
6:30-8pm Wednesdays

On Wednesday nights, guys and girls meet separately at Faith to learn how to passionately follow Jesus. Our ladies' group meets in the Fellowship Hall;  the guys' group meets in the Multipurpose Room . This night is for those that want to grow deeper in their faith in following Jesus; this will be a time of mainly accountability and encouragement. We will either do a big activity or socialize all together and then break out into our discipleship groups of 3-5 of the same students each week. Each group will briefly catch up on their week, pray, share how they have obeyed Jesus' commands the past week and what has been teaching them in their 7/24 Challenge times, share any more personal accountability and encouragement, and pray for practical steps and application to be surrendered, passionate followers of Jesus in this next week.
Disciple NOW // Disciple Now (DNow) is an intentional weekend of spiritual investment into the lives of students 7th-12th grade. Students are divided into small groups by gender and will stay at a host home from our church. During small group studies and large group gatherings, we will dive deep into God’s Word and apply it to our lives. Our aim is for students to draw closer to each other in Christ-like community and to the God of the Universe in their personal relationship.

Summer Mission 2021 TBD// There is no greater opportunity to grow in your faith than through serving and sharing your hope and joy we have in Jesus with others. Just knowing about Jesus is not being obedient; Jesus calls us to go out and make disciples who make disciples. This is done in our normal routines, but also through special trips. Students will learn how to share their faith practically, passionately, and confidently.

Super Summer 2021 TBD//  This is a great opportunity develop your faith learning how to follow Jesus personally and passionately for a lifetime. We will get in the Word of God and apply it in our lives, while growing in deeper relationship with each other. We will also join hundreds of other students from across Missouri to have a lot of fun!

Summer Missions Program // The Summer Missions Program is for students (ages 18-25). Summer Missions is a practical look at discipleship here in Missouri and wherever we go. Summer Missions is a 10-week internship made possible through the Missouri Missions Offering. You will be assigned with Pastor Michael, Pastor Doug, or our Children's Director Cindy to serve and grow in obedience following Jesus no matter what plans you have next, full-time ministry or other. Deadline to apply is March 3.

Fall Kickoff 2021 TBD // We desire for our incoming students to the student ministry to feel welcomed and  able to make friends easily. We will have a day full of games, team-building exercises, food, worship and in God's Word, and FUN! There will be a Meet-N-Greet for all parents to learn about our student ministry, and socialize with other parents, Pastor Michael, and our leaders. Our goal is to ensure that this transition and the new school year is about pursuing obedience and faithfulness in following Jesus above all else.

Fall Retreat TBD // Our Fall Retreat is a great time to start off the school year meeting new friends and deepening current relationships. We usually have an over night trip with games, food, and discipleship time. Our goal is to ensure that the new school year is about pursuing obedience and faithfulness in following Jesus above all else. This is only going to happen if we are plugged into strong Christian community, accountability, and encouragement.
